Partner with Alumni and Affiliate Relations
Event Promotion
Alumni and Affiliate Relations (AAR) can help your department promote alumni-facing events on the AAR website and/or social media platforms. Please email your marketing requests, along with its associated event marketing assets and copy (200 words maximum) to alumni@ucdavis.edu. All requests must be made at least 14 business days prior to the event start date. All requests are subject to approval.
Volunteer Support
Seeking volunteers for one of your department’s upcoming events, programs or marketing campaigns? AAR is connected to a pool of alumni and parent volunteers eager to give back to the UC Davis community and can support your volunteer recruitment efforts by providing volunteer recommendations/leads. Please email volunteer recommendation requests, including specific volunteer criteria, if any, at least one month in advance to alumni@ucdavis.edu. All requests are subject to approval.
Should you successfully secure a volunteer with the support of AAR, please report back with photos and a story or info about the experience. This information helps AAR track and promote alumni volunteer engagement efforts.
Newsletter Content Contributions
Campus partners are invited to submit content for inclusion in AAR newsletters listed below. Please note, audience, submission criteria and instructions vary based on the newsletter. Email newsletter content submissions for consideration to alumni@ucdavis.edu. All submissions are subject to approval.
Careers
AAR sends career-focused emails to alumni on an ad hoc basis. Content submissions should be focused on alumni-facing, career-related events or resources. Content should not exceed 200 words. If applicable, see content schedule below for content submission deadline(s).
Parent In the Know Newsletter
AAR sends a monthly newsletter to parents of current undergraduate students entitled In the Know. Content should be focused on topics that are relevant to the current undergraduate student experience or need-to-know information for parents and should not exceed 500 words. Newsletter content is generally due on the first Wednesday of each month and will be published on the third Tuesday of the month (see the 2024-2025 content schedule below for exact dates). Contributions sent to CAAAPrograms@ucdavis.edu by the submission deadline will be considered for inclusion in the newsletter.

Alumni Council
The UC Davis Alumni Council is a group of campus alumni relations professionals who meet quarterly to share activities; collaborate with each other; and share ideas, resources, best practices and opportunities to engage Aggies, no matter which department, college, or school they hail from!
Additionally, alumni constituency groups fall under the “umbrella” of the Cal Aggie Alumni Association, so we work together and share our calendars, email calendars, and provide annual updates.
If you are working with UC Davis alumni and would like to be a part of the Alumni Council, please send an email to Pauline Moreira, Associate Executive Director & Chief Programs Officer (pmetzgar@ucdavis.edu).
