How it Works

The club was updated with new membership options and shipping seasons for all members starting Spring 2026.

As a member of Aggies Uncorked, you'll enjoy:

Alumni Wine Passport

One of the many benefits of Aggies Uncorked is getting perks from our partner wineries. The Passport provides discounts at over 2 dozen Aggies Uncorked partner wineries (and growing) throughout California.  Benefits include free or discounted tastings at wineries, wine bottle savings, shipping promotions, and live events.  The passport is managed digitally and lives as a card in the Wallet app for both iPhone and Android.

Access to Alumni Wine Passport is included in your active wine club membership.  It is activated within 24-48 hours of joining so you can start using it right away, even if you haven't received your first wine shipment.

Scholarship Support 

A portion of the proceeds from the Aggies Uncorked Wine Club supports CAAA Scholarships to the Department of Viticulture & Enology.

Alumni Wine Showcase

The 2nd Annual Alumni Wine Showcase is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026. Aggies Uncorked the Dept of Viticulture and Enology and the Robert Mondavi Institute of Food and Wine Science (RMI) are are co-hosting this event featured 20 wineries and delicious food. Registration and tickets opens March 18th, 2026. Click to see the RMI events page for more details. 

 

Virtual Wine Tasting Zoom Gallery

Spring 2026 Release Party and Virtual Tasting

Get to know the featured winemakers in this season's release on Zoom! Hear their Aggie stories, the wine career paths, and dive into the details of their wines. Wineries will also raffle off special gifts or experiences for attendees. This is a member-only experience and they can Register for the Virtual Tasting by clicking here.

 

 

Aggies Uncorked Passport Wine Tasting in Sonoma

Join fellow wine lovers in West Sonoma for an exclusive tasting with two of our Alumni Wine Passport winemakers: Greg La Follette '91 of Marchelle Wines and Max Reichwage '13 of Reichwage Winery.  Experience a barrel-to-bottle tasting of Greg's award winning Pinot Noirs paired with a wine country lunch. Then visit Max's winery for a flight of wines from their historic vineyards, plus a vineyard tour and delicious charcuterie boards.

When: Friday, June 5th, 11:00am-3:00pm
Price: $75 for Aggies Uncorked and/or CAAA members; $85 for non-members

Video for 5th Anniversary Wine Celebration

In Fall 2025, Aggies Uncorked turned 5! Over 200 club members and their friends joined Aggies Uncorked for a fun filled evening and wine tasting. Over 20 alumni winemakers poured their wines, while guests were entertained with live jazz and delicious bites. Chancellor Gary S. May and Assistant Vice Chancellor Dana Allen spoke and shared the wine club's impact on the university.

Alumni Wine Series

Under the guidance of winemaker Patrick Saboe '02, teams of alumni and their friends competed at the annual Art & Science of Blending Wine event to create the best blend. Alumni III, a 2022 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, is our third bottling of this special wine. Aggies Uncorked members in the 3 bottle mixed and all red clubs receive one bottle, and members in the 6 bottle mixed and all red clubs receive two bottles in their Fall shipments.
