Professor and Former Chancellor’s Fellow’s Publishes New Book on Memory

UC Davis is fortunate to have some of the world’s greatest faculty members who dedicate themselves daily to teaching and inspiring our students. Among these esteemed educators, Chancellor’s Fellows stand out. These early-career faculty members are honored for their exceptional research and receive a $25,000 award to help them advance promising aspects of their work. Often, these projects also provide students with valuable, career-building experience.

As your student prepares for the opening of the 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA), here are some ways you can stay informed.

You may want to know more about how things are going for your student academically, but you might not be sure what to ask.  Or when you do ask, you are met with one-word answers from your student. You are a partner in your student’s success and if you find yourself unsure of what to ask your student or what they might be experiencing, we’ve got you! 

Did you know all first year students have a First Year Experience Peer Mentor?

FYE Peer Mentors are one source of support for first year and continuing students as they transition into and through college. FYE Peer Mentors are current students who meet with first year students to answer questions, share experiences and offer suggestions.

Peer Mentors offer “office hours” in the residence halls, at The Green, and on campus and they put on academic programs and events. 

FYE Peer Mentors are trained to assist students in all four colleges and can help:
