Calling all UC alumni, students, and friends based in Cambridge! Join us on Thursday, March 13, at the Station Tavern for an engaging discussion and reception with Professor William Hurst (UC Berkeley, Ph.D., '05)
Professor Hurst is the Chong Hua Professor of Chinese Development at the University of Cambridge, and the Co-Director of the Centre for Geopolitics. He is also the Director of Studies for Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at Peterhouse, a Fellow of Wolfson College, and a Senior Associate Fellow of the Royal United Services Institute.
In his talk, Professor Hurst will will discuss his research interests in Chinese and Indonesian political economy and international relations. He will also discuss his journey from his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Chicago, to his doctoral work at UC Berkeley.
