San Diego Food Bank Parent Pop Up

Parent Pop Ups are a fun and informal way to get to know other Aggie parents in your area.  These casual gatherings are hosted by local Aggie parents.

Join fellow UC Davis Aggie families for a meaningful Pop-Up volunteer experience supporting the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. This is a hands-on opportunity to give back to our local community while connecting with other Aggie families. 

Date: Saturday, March 14, 2026

Time: 12:30-2:30 p.m. (PT)

Location: The Jacobs and Cushman San Diego Food Bank, 9850 Distribution Avenue, San Diego

This event is hosted by UC Davis Parent Council volunteer, Betsy Woods.

What We’ll Be Doing:

1. Volunteers will help with warehouse tasks that may include:
2. Sorting and packing food
3. Preparing items for distribution
4. Supporting food assistance efforts that directly help families across San Diego County
5. No experience is needed — just a willingness to help and work as a team!

Volunteer Requirements & Reminders:

1. Age Requirements:
2. Ages 16+ may volunteer independently
3. Ages 11–15 must be accompanied by a registered adult (1 adult per 4 youth)
4. Dress Code: Closed-toe shoes required
5. Arrival: Please arrive 10 minutes early
6. Volunteers arriving more than 10 minutes late will not be admitted
7. Any unused spots will be released to the public one week prior to the event

How to Register (Required for Each Volunteer):

Every person attending must register individually, including teens, spouses, friends, or family members.

Steps:

1. Click “Sign Up” for the Miramar Warehouse Afternoon Shift – Saturday, March 14, 2026 (12:30–2:30 PM)
2. Sign in to your existing account or create a new account
3. If creating an account, you may skip the join code (not needed)
4. Select “I just want to volunteer” when prompted
5. Complete the personal information and waiver
6. Return to the shift page and click “Sign Up” to confirm
