Hope everyone is enjoying spring (or what feels like summer)! With longer days and warm weather finally here, it’s the perfect time to get outdoors and explore the Hudson Valley with fellow Aggies in the NYC area.
On Sunday, June 14, we’ll take a day trip to the charming town of Cold Spring, just about 90 minutes north of Manhattan on the Metro-North Hudson Line. We’ll be hiking Bull Hill (good for all experience levels), with trail options depending on group size and interest. After the hike, we’ll have time to grab ice cream, browse the local shops, and enjoy downtown Cold Spring before heading back to Manhattan in the evening.
Schedule:
- 8:15am: Meet at Grand Central and buy train tickets. We will meet at the foot of the stairs leading up to the Apple Store.
- 8:50am: Catch the MTA Hudson Line train to Cold Spring
- 10:20am: Train arrives at Cold Spring (90 minutes)
- 11:00am: Begin hike
- ~2-3pm: Finish hike
- 3-5pm: Explore Cold Spring (optional for those who have time and want to stay in Cold Spring a bit longer)
- 5:15pm: Leave to catch train back to Grand Central
- ~6:45pm: Arrive back in NYC
What to bring:
