What gives your college student that competitive edge when applying for jobs? Of course, good grades and experience top the list, but what else can students do to stand out amongst thousands of their colleagues that graduate every year?

Is your student the first in your family to attend college? If so, when they come home, it can be hard for parents and students to communicate.

The last meal served in the dining commons (DC) will be dinner on December 14 until 8 p.m. Meals will resume on January 4 for dinner at the Segundo DC at 5- 8 p.m. Tercero and Cuarto DCs will resume operation with brunch at 9:30 a.m. on January 6.

This can be a scary time for first year students as they venture into the world of midterms, quizzes and winter quarter class registration. Families are often wonderful sources of support for students as they work their way through these college milestones.
