The Active Aggie Alumni Network invites alumni, family, and friends to attend our May outing in Lake Tahoe! Participants on this special outing will have the opportunity to tour the UC Davis's Tahoe Environmental Research Center and learn about fascinating work conducted by scientists and UC Davis students in the Lake Tahoe region. After this tour, participants are invited to break for lunch at the Tunnel Creek Cafe before hitting the trail at 1 pm for an easy 3-mile hike along the Tahoe East Shore Trail to Sand Harbor Beach.
This event promises to be a wonderful blend of education, nature, and camaraderie. Space is limited, so don't miss out on this chance to reconnect with UC Davis and explore the stunning Lake Tahoe region. Please RSVP by May 9th to ensure your spot on this exciting outing!

- 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Guided Tour @ TERC
Begin your day with a guided tour of the Tahoe Environmental Research Center. Learn about the latest research and initiatives aimed at preserving the pristine beauty of Lake Tahoe. The tour will provide insights into the center's cutting-edge projects and the vital role it plays in environmental conservation. Your registration fee covers the cost of entry and support for ongoing research initiatives at the center. - 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch at Tunnel Creek Cafe (optional)
After the tour, join fellow alumni for lunch at the Tunnell Creek Cafe. Attendees are responsible for providing their own lunch. The cafe is also at the trailhead junction for our afternoon hike. - 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Hike along the Tahoe East Shore Trail to Sand Harbor Beach
Following lunch, embark on a scenic hike along the Tahoe East Shore Trail. This beautiful trail offers stunning views of Lake Tahoe and leads to the picturesque Sand Harbor Beach. It's a perfect way to experience the natural beauty of the area while enjoying some light exercise and fresh air.
