Boeger Winery & Farmworks

Justin Boeger ’99

Winemaker

About Winery: Located on a gold-rush era homestead, Boeger Winery is one of the most historic and enchanting wineries in the Sierra Nevada foothills. The Boeger family is deeply tied to California wine history. Greg Boeger, a grandson of early Napa Valley pioneers, brought three generations of winemaking know-how to El Dorado County when he and his wife, Sue, established the winery in 1972. Alongside Greg, son Justin continues the family winemaking tradition of pioneering lesser-known varietals such as Barbera, Carignane, Refosco, Charbono, and Aglianico, just to name a few of the over thirty varietals that the winery grows.

Come sample their selection of estate wines and enjoy their beautiful outdoor garden.

Aggie Connection: The Boegers are a family of Aggies starting with Greg and Sue and their children Justin and Lexi carrying on the tradition! After Greg completed his undergraduate and master degrees from UC Davis in 1969, Greg and Sue Boeger stumbled upon a beautiful property in El Dorado Hills in 1972. These days the second generation of the family is steering the ship.
